Ghanaian unisex designer Senyo Foli is under fire for expressing sentiments and the intent to dress the soon to be First lady of America, Melania Trump.
A recent article published on FashionGHANA.com which spoke to the owner and CEO of Ghanaian fashion brand Senyo Foli, and he shared his interest in dressing Melania Trump.
The article focused on how he admires Michelle Obama’s trend to open the door between the white house and African fashion and he didn’t believe that should have ended with the outgoing first lady.
In less than a few hours the designer who recently showcased at Accra Fashion Week was bombarded with personal attacks on his facebook and insults from the web prompting the magazine editor to write: “Hi Guys, remember, you do not need to be rude to criticize, any more comments with harsh insults will be deleted, thanks”
The article did not only give an outline showing the interests of the designer, but also began with an outline exposing the Kenyan website that created the false anti-African sentiments by Donald Trump that went viral. The designer has not responded yet to the harsh reactions
